The Grupotel Gravina, Barcelona is situated in a 19th century building within three blocks of La Rambla, Pla�a Catalunya and two metro stations and one kilometer from the Gothic Quarter. Its fa�ade features wrought iron balconies and its entrance is guarded by a roaring lion's head at the center of a sculpted crest. The 84 guestrooms are decorated in salmon and cream and feature televisions, safes and minibars. Bathrooms are decorated in salmon marble and include handheld showers, bidets, bathroom scales and complimentary toiletries.
The Gravina's 60 seat restaurant, Restaurant Gravina, features a cream marble floor and is decorated in sunflower yellow. It serves a buffet breakfast and an � la carte dinner.
The Grupotel Gravina features an � la carte menu including modern Mediterranean with strong Catalan influences, featuring such dishes as the Bacall� a la Llauna (roasted salt cod). The hotel also houses the Lobby Bar, which features a cream marble floor and yellow and blue armchairs. The bar serves coffee, beers, wines, cocktails and light snacks throughout the day. The hotel has a small business center in the lobby and two meeting rooms, with capacity of 35 for a banquet or 55 for cocktails. The rooms are equipped with audiovisual equipment and secretarial, fax and courier services are also available. The close proximity to two metro stations, Universitat and Pla�a Catalunya, means that guests can be easily connected with large parts of the city. Nearby attractions include Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art, which is three blocks away and El Corte Ingl�s (department store) which is 250 meters away. Barcelona's old town and Santa Maria del Mar Cathedral are both 500 meters away and the Gothic Quarter, the Picasso Museum and Gaudi's La Pedrera are all one kilometer away. La Barceloneta beach and the Joan Mir� Foundation are two kilometers away. The nearest airport to the hotel is El Prat Airport, which is 13 kilometers from the hotel.
